How long is the warranty and what does it cover?

In addition to the rights you as a consumer have to submit a complaint in relation to a defect product pursuant to applicable consumer protection legislation, we offer a one (1) year warranty on all products sold on our website. The warranty covers manufacturing defects.


However, please note that the warranty doesn’t cover defects or damage caused by:

  • Outer circumstances such as e.g., loss, heat, fire, water or other fluids;
  • Misuse or improper use including dropping the product (unless a specific drop protection warranty has been provided by IDEAL in relation to a specific product) causing e.g. dents, broken or crushed parts etc.;
  • Esthetical changes that occur due to normal wear and tear and aging such as e.g. scratches, alteration of the color, worn leather and flaking paint; or
  • Repair or modifications to the product not carried out by IDEAL.

Furthermore, the warranty will only apply if you’ve followed the instructions in our use- or care guide for the specific product.


Note that the value of your product decreases over time and that this is taken into account when assessing warranty issues.
